>> scripts that make your life easier

SimpleTask is a ridiculously simple pair of scripts that allow you to quickly add lines to the end of a text file, and also search that text file. I hope this will be a help to those of you that keep your task list in a todo.txt…the idea is that now you can quickly scan today’s tasks and add more without even opening up your editor.

There’s currently no “SimpleTaskMarkDone” or “SimpleTaskRemove” script…yet. I’d like to figure out a good way to do that…but I’m no programmer, and I only create bash scripts rarely. Please don’t laugh at me.

Feel free to download, check it out, and leave comments as to how I can make this script even cooler.

  1. Hello!

Just been over at Linuxmusician.com, but was unable to register. It kept telling me that my confirmation code was incorrect. If its doing that for everyone, maybe thats why there is no users yet!! Hope you can sort that out as it sounds like this could become a very interesting and useful resource!

    Cheers,

    Peter.

  2. Thanks for the heads up, Peter. Turns out there’s a bug in the theme I was using (you know, the one that took *forever* to customize :) but I’ve reverted back to the default theme now and registration should be working. It has seemed slow to me today, though…let me know if it’s crazy slow for you.

  3. PS Sweet site there at livegig, Peter.
