@JordanR I really like the way Gwibber does it: everything in one "stream," sorted chronologically, with duplicate posts hidden. Keep us posted on your project!

I'd love to ditch Twitter. The idea of 140characters x 2000 of my updates being trapped on their servers freaks me out.

But none of my 'real life' friends have any idea what Identi.ca is--it'd be hard to get them to switch.

Gwibber is the best I've been able to do so far--if you find something better (particularly something that works on Windows so I could use it during the day at work), I'd love to hear about it.

have u tried "peoplebrower"? a "browser tool box" managers multiple account from different services. twitter, identi.ca, friendfeed...and lots more. it runs on a browser so...i think it's compatible with linux. it also has a download version which runs with adobe air...i dont really use linux, dont know if adobe air works on linux.
overall a pretty good app.
here's a short review: http://normanbauer.info/node/32

How would you like the feeds aggregated? I've been trying to flesh out a client that's cross platform for myself for a little bit.
