INX is a great way to learn more about the command line. It’s at http://inx.maincontent.net/ and is essentially an Ubuntu respin which is command-line only, but it includes loads of really great tutorials, and never leaves you at a prompt without anything obvious to do unless you actually ask it to. It’s also a great demonstration of how much you can actually do from the CLI, including watch videos. listen to music and surf the web graphically, and it’s got a great introduction to GNU Screen. It’s available as a live CD or a virtual machine image. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
commandlinefu.com is also a very nice resource for ..fu
they have twitter for new commands as well.
