Ubuntu Tweak Makes Configuring Ubuntu A Breeze

October 27th, 2008 | No comments yet...what do you think?

When it comes to configuring and tweaking the some of the more minute details of your Ubuntu desktop, it can become a chore to wade through config files, dialogs, and menus. Ubuntu Tweak takes some of most commonly performed tasks and brings them to the forefront in a single, easy to use GUI.

Just a few of the features I like include managing your installed kernels, cleaning up old/unneeded packages, and the ability to show, hide, or change your splash screen.

Ubuntu Tweak recently released a new milestone version, 0.4.0.

Even though seasoned Ubuntu/Linux users will know how to do most if not all the tasks that Ubuntu Tweak does, it’s still a darn handy app to have around, and will probably save you some time!
