Split Your Terminal Into Multiple Windows with Terminator

I was reading over at Debuntu.org, and came across a little slick little piece of software than could really offer a productivity boost to the heavy command line user.

Terminator, described as a “multi-view terminal” basically allows you to have more than one simultaneus terminal running in same window. But instead of tabs (like GNOME-terminal or Konsole) the window is split so that you can see what’s going one or more shells at the same

time. Sure you could open multiple windows…but this opens up all kinds of possibilities for grouping your tasks, and of course it’s awesome that you can minimize a ton of shells with just one click.
