Undelete on an Ext3 Filesystem? You Betcha!

How many times have you been told that it’s impossible to undelete files on a ext3 filesystem? Probably …a lot. In fact, I was firmly convinced that once I deleted a file, it was effectively gone for good, no questions asked. Well, reader/listener Bruce wrote in this last week with a link to a cool article that explains not only how it’s possible, but how to do it using a command-line app called ext3grep. Now, it’s bit a of a technical read, but if you’re into filesystems, etc, or you really need that bit of critical data back…check it out.
Thanks Bruce!
