Making The Most of GNOME Do

Gnome Do Plugins

For the uninitiated, GNOME-Do is a Quicksilver-type replacement for GNOME (or any wm). And like its cousin Deskbar, it’s extensible with plugins. You’ll want to take a look at this handy guide to installing plugins, and then check out a few of my favorites:

Rhythmbox Plugin:

Launch GNOME Do and type the name of an artist in your music collection. Once the artist you want is shown press the right arrow key to view a list of albums beneath that artist. You can select albums by using the up and down keys.

Amarok Plugin:

Like the the Rhythmbox plugin, but for Amarok, which is awesome.

Tomboy Plugin:
Allows you to create and search Tomboy notes!

Twitter Plugin:
Update Twitter from GNOME-Do! Sweetness…

Have you pimped your GNOME Do?
