BitNami.Org is currently offering several notoriously difficult-to-install open source applications in supposedly easy-to-install packages. This looks pretty cool, and it seems like the offered apps are continually expanding. Some of the more popular ones:

• Wordpress
• MediaWiki
• Drupal
• phpBB

This would have come in really handy for me a while back when I was trying to do a local WP install. I still may try this out though, so I can do more offline testing of this site.
