Resize Multiple Images At Once in Nautilus
So, I was just emailed at ton of full-resolution, high-quality digital pictures for inclusion on another website I manage. These desperately need to be resized for web use, and in a hurry. So, I did a quick Googling, found some great solutions.
Solution #1: Nautilus-Image-Converter is a sweet Nautilus extension that automatically adds resize & rotate options to your right-click context menu for images. This is pretty sweet.
Solution #2: The Resize_images Nautilus Script I really like this one as well. This script uses ImageMagick to do all the work, but presents you with a nice GUI interface. What I really liked about this solution is that it resizes based on a maximum dimension you specify for the longest side of the picture. So, my irregularly shaped photos don’t get squashed or stretched.
