Favorite App of the Week: Winki The Ripper (DVD ripper/Video encoder)
Posted on July 27th, 2007 by nathan
So far I’ve had the easiest, smoothest, and best experience ripping DVDs and encoding video ever with Winki The Ripper.
It works fantastically well with a step-by-step interface approach that just works. My ripped dvd came out great–exactly how I wanted it–with no problems whatsoever. And other than a few modifications to the default settings, I basically just clicked “next” all the way through to a completed file. To make things even better, I was then able to use Winki to re-encode file into another format I needed.

I got equal results. If you’re looking for a not-so-complicated way to just back up those dvds, or re-encode some vids to put on your mobile device, this app has you covered.
