Beryl: Use the Desktop Wall Instead of the Cube

We all the love the cube. It looks cool; it’s great for impressing the non-Linux user population. But think about it…can’t you move so much quicker from workspace to workspace just by clicking on the GNOME/KDE pager? And if this what you’re already doing, why not enable a Beryl plugin that will actually improve your productivity?

Try enabling the Desktop Wall plugin in your Beryl config. This will require you to disable conflicting plugins like The Cube and Rotate Cube. Then place your mouse in the upper left corner of the screen. Your desktops will zoom out and you’ll see what looks like a highly detailed virtual desktop pager. This allows you to get a quick, birds eye view on what’s on all your desktops, and you can even move windows around super easily! The Desktop Wall
