This screencast from Riccardo Iaconelli’s blog illustrates a cool concept that may make it into KDE 4. Basically, instead of right click menu, you get a series of buttons that appear on the icon when you hover over it. This makes formerly two-click operations only one click, and I think it could really make the user experience quite a bit more intuitive as well.
